Play: Hip Openers


Hip openers are a great way to release tension and emotional baggage. This was surprising to me! I have noticed that when I do pigeon or lotus I feel emotional, sometimes even to the point of tears! I always think, what the heck is wrong with me?!? Why am I breaking down while doing a technically simple pose? The answer: Stretching the hip flexors is actually creating freedom in the body and mind by releasing tensions that the body is harboring.
