Amanyara: My Love

Amanyara in Turks and Caicos, one of the most peaceful, idyllic places we have ever been. On this daybed, the focal point at the center of the infinity edge pool is where I asked my love to marry me more than eight years ago.

It was in February 2008 and the ocean was so rough that week we thought we might both drown when we went swimming. For that reason alone (because we love swimming in the ocean), we didn't return again for seven years until last summer for Cary's fortieth birthday.

How sad we were to have stayed away so long. Now we realize the turquoise waters surrounding Amanyara are as tranquil and peaceful as the resort itself.
